Bright sunshiny day

What a magnificent first day of winter. After some wet and freezing conditions, it was time to take Cleo on a walk for the first time in two weeks, and did she enjoy all the sniffing and picking up the post, as well as some playful interaction with other dogs we met on the way.
As expected at this time of year, the gorgeously hued aloes were in full bloom, providing a feast for the eyes and material for the camera. How can one fail to take stupendous photos with such perfectly matched colours, aesthetic arrangements and the gentle sunlight of winter?
