For every thing there is a season

Following on yesterday's blog about the changing garden landscape, I looked through my photos taken over the years, which provide evidence of climate change in this neck of the woods! There are photos of floods, overgrown shrubbery, rampant climbers covering trees and even a vegetable garden. Today little remains of the rampant growth and the leaves have thinned considerably on the trees. A once verdant lawn has been reduced by paving and even the vigorous growth of the bay tree seems to have been halted. The soothing sound of the trickling water in the fountain is stilled and dandelions have all but hidden the vegetable patch from view.
For every thing there is a season, and this is the season to refrain from gardening!
